Planting Our Roots – Free Tree Project Returns for Spring 2025
The City of Delta has announced the launch of the Spring 2025 phase of the Planting Our Roots – Free Tree Project. Starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 10:00 am, the reservation form opens for residents wishing to enter the draw to receive one of 250 trees.
Each household may submit one entry to receive a tree, delivered directly to their home in time for spring planting season. The form offers a selection of ten different tree varieties, and residents will be asked to select their top five preferences.
New Disc Golf Course Opens at Diefenbaker Park
The City of Delta has announced the opening of a new disc golf course pilot project at Diefenbaker Park. This recreational addition provides a fun, accessible outdoor activity for residents of all ages and skill levels.
Disc golf combines elements of traditional golf with frisbee throwing, creating an engaging outdoor experience that promotes physical activity and enjoyment of Delta's beautiful park spaces.

First Urban Treaty Anniversary
This month marks another anniversary of the historic Tsawwassen First Nation Treaty, which came into effect on April 3, 2009. It was the first urban First Nations Treaty in B.C. and the first Treaty implemented through the B.C. Treaty Commission negotiation process.
Tsawwassen Town Centre Redevelopment Discussions Continue
Century Group's proposal to redevelop the Tsawwassen Town Centre mall site continues to move forward with community engagement. The proposal includes four mixed-use residential buildings with commercial space including a 31,000-square-foot grocery store.
